The Rose ritual is symbolic of two lives embracing each other and their families.
This ritual can be performed in various ways approved by the couple.

As the colour of the sand mingle and mix they can never be separated.
Symbolic of two souls embracing each other forever.
A quaich – pronounced ‘quake’ – distinctive kind of shallow, two-handled drinking bowl or cup. For today's ceremonies, we refer to the cup as the loving cup. The couple sip from the cup in a ritual of accepting and welcoming each other into their lives.
Families and children can be part of this ritual. A personal script is written.
Salt symbolizes purity, good luck and power. For a wedding ceremony, the couple passes a handful of salt to each other and then gives it to their families to pass between them. The couple then pours two shades of sand into one vessel. The remaining salt seals the vessel to symbolize the convenant made by the couple and the blending of two families.
